J A N C A
I am French-Colombian (Biarritz / Cali) artist specialized in black and white photo.
I lived my childhood and adolescence between Colombia, France and Argentina. After my diploma as publicist in Paris, I worked in a press agency with which I travelled for 5 years in Europe and Asia.
In 1996 I did my first exhibition as an artist at the "Latin American FotoSeptiembre" Mexico, representing Colombia.
Since then, my photo creations in black and white are exposed in different cities around the world.
I published two books of photographs in black and white "La Bella y la Bestia" and "Machos, historias de Nenas".
Two different stories told through theatrical stagings scenes.
‘’LA BELLA y LA BESTIA wishes to create reflection on how solitudes, fame, wounded love, can be so painful, so common, so drama, so ourselves.
‘MACHOS, historias de NENAS’ wishes to create reflection on women’s role on the transmission of machism since their homes.
At the moment I am working on my new production: a new series of portraits for my new book of photographs.
I live between France and Colombia, and I travel all around the world with my exhibitions.
